Asylum

I am a retired teacher who has written a novel titled Asylum. I research old asylums and in doing so I have found that a woman could be committed by any male figure in the family . Whereas it took five signatures from five different doctors to get a male committed, it only took one signature from one doctor, who did not even see the woman, to get a female committed.
